This Tuesday, IYTC representatives testified at Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Meeting to advocate for the LA County Flavored Tobacco Ban. This ordinance would ban all retail sales of flavor tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, in the unincorporated parts of LA (11% of the county), and it was passed with a unanimous 5-0 vote. Members Alina Champon, Franklin Cheng, Kimia Hassibi, Lisa Lu, and Victor Lu spoke out against tobacco lobbyists and expressed how flavored tobacco products are harming their peers, campuses, and communities. The advocates were welcomed by their district Supervisor Kathryn Barger. #youthvoicematters
