Global Youth Voices Open Letter: To the Members of the FIA Senate (International Women's Day)

On 5 March 2026, the International Youth Tobacco Control partnered with leaders from the Global Youth Voices (GYV) movement to issue a letter to members of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) Senate calling for an end to tobacco-related sponsorship in Formula 1. As the 2026 Formula 1 season begins in Australia on International Women’s Day, the youth advocates urged the FIA to protect women and young girls from tobacco industry influence in global sporting events. Together, we emphasize the growing concerns about tobacco and e-cigarette promotions linked to Formula 1 advertising and events.
