The American Cancer Society finds that tobacco usage can inflict significant damage on a person’s mental health. Additionally, smoking has been correlated with increased feelings of anxiety and stress, and there is a complex relationship that exists between rates of smoking and rates of depression as well. Take a walk or meditate to relieve stress instead!
