Yannie Chau is currently a junior at San Marino High School. As the Southern California Regional President, she works to hold local events with partnered organizations as well as work alongside the rest of the branch to organize other activities and fundraisers. Previously, she has worked as the region's secretary as well the social media director (chinese) of IYTC. Through working in tobacco prevention, she hopes to be able to continue educating different people across the world. Her interest in tobacco prevention began after experiencing the dangerous popularity of tobacco in areas outside her neighborhood. She wishes to one day reach those areas and slowly transform them into safer, healthier communities. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, traveling, and listening to music.
