Blog Post #2

QUESTION OF THE MONTH:

WHAT THING OR PHRASE CAN HELP YOUNG PEOPLE FEEL CONFIDENT AND COMFORTABLE SAYING 'NO' IF THEY ARE OFFERED SOMETHING THAT NEGATIVELY AFFECTS THEM (tobacco, vapes, etc.)?

Thank you for starting this amazing initiative! 🙌

I’m passionate about preventing tobacco use because I’ve seen firsthand how it impacts young people—not just physically, but mentally and socially as well. Many students fall into the trap of thinking it’s a stress reliever, especially during exams or busy academic schedules, but in reality, it only creates long-term harm.

As someone who works closely with students, I often encourage them to find healthier ways to cope with stress—whether that’s exercise, creative hobbies, or even reaching out for academic support when studies feel overwhelming. For example, services like take my online class can help reduce academic pressure, so students don’t feel tempted to rely on harmful habits like tobacco to “cope.”

I believe awareness and practical support go hand-in-hand. If we can provide students with positive alternatives, we can make real progress in reducing tobacco use among youth.
